Lower Zambezi Park, Zambia

For a very long time Zambia was neglected by the tourism industry of Africa and especially the safari lovers. But this seems strange as Zambia has Africa’s some of the most gorgeous landscape and is home to the most exotic of the continent’s wildlife. The reason was the lack of tourist infrastructure, and that was true there were not that many world class hotels outside the capital Lusaka and the national parks of the country were mismanaged and were in a poor shape. But all this has changed now as the Zambian government has put some huge efforts in improving the tourism infrastructure of the country to attract the tourist traffic to Zambia and they have been quite successful in it. The biggest attraction of Zambia for the tourists was its wildlife and the best park to view that was the Lower Zambezi National Park along the gorgeous Zambezi River.

The park covers an area of 4092 square miles north along the west bank of the Zambezi, and is one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. When the ill-park tourism infrastructure in the lower Zambezi has improved a lot, and many resorts opened in the area that serves all kinds of tourist needs. If you are arriving from abroad then you can take cheap flights to Lusaka, where you can rent a car to take a three-hour drive of the park. You can visit the park one day, but most tourists prefer staying in the park a couple of nights to enjoy its natural beauty and exotic wildlife is fully charged. Most resorts are located around the entrance to the park and you can easily find your taste and budget.

The main attraction is its elephants in the park, where you will find thousands of grazing meadows park, or by taking a bath flow of the Zambezi. The park is believed to the highest concentration of elephants per sq mile in the world. The best way to explore the park, making it the company of a park ranger who knows where to take you so that you get the best view of animals as well as protect you in unforeseen danger arises.

Most animals can be found near the river, reducing their thirst, or swim in the water refreshes them. Another highlight of the Park has hundreds of Hippos that can be found in the river. And then, of course, a scene which the park has gained a reputation, thousands of elephants swimming in the Zambezi River in the afternoon. So the tour in the Lower Zambezi National Park will surely give you a unique opportunity to view the game, it is difficult to find any other national park in Africa.
