Sydney Activity Guide

It is best to know what activities you want to Sydney when you visit Sydney, Australia. But if you do not plan ahead, here are some possible activities that could include Sydney visits a number of Sydney attractions:

Walking tour

Walking tour of day. From Circular Quay, head of Sydney Rocks historic district, visit the Sydney Opera House, through the Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney entering the downtown area of Sydney, and continue to Darling Harbour. If walking is not your thing, try the red bus Explorer.

Cruise Port

Take a cruise on Sydney Harbour. Sydney, after all, is a port city. Go on a cruise, a dinner cruise or a cruise, dance or just take a ferry to any destination you choose on ferry routes. Cross Harbour Manly or Watsons Bay to head for seafood at Doyles. Check your choice of cruises Sydney at Circular Quay and make your ferry tale come true.

Go to the beach

Especially during the warmer months, the beaches of Sydney are the place to go. Go swimming, surfing, water skiing or simply soak up the sun and bake. Be careful on the beach.

Snorkel or dive

Yes, there is a submarine Sydney. Discover the best places for diving or scuba diving. There are diving courses, as well, so you can get your diving certificate.

Go sailing

You can rent a boat or a yacht of one of the marinas of Sydney on the east coast. If rowing is more your style, you can rent a boat or a kayak so.

Visit museums

There is the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Sydney, and police and justice in the Museum Circular Quay. At Darling Harbour you will find the Powerhouse Museum and the Australian National Maritime Museum. The Australian Museum is next to Hyde Park in the heart of the city. Visit the Sydney Aquarium

The Sydney Aquarium is right at Darling Harbour. See sharks up close, discover the variety of fish from all over Australia from the clownfish Nemo in the Great Barrier Reef to the creatures of the water of the Murray-Darling river system.

Talk to the animals

Or at least see them close to hand. Taronga Zoo is just across the harbor from Circular Quay. Take a ferry. A smaller, more intimate for close encounters with Australian wildlife is at Featherdale Wildlife Park in western Sydney.

And, yes, there is Sydney Wildlife World at Darling Harbour within walking distance of downtown Sydney.

Get out of Sydney

Take a trip (or take a few days or more) to the north, south or west of Sydney. If you want to linger in the region, try the Blue Mountains west of the city or the Hunter Valley wine region in the north.

And there is still much to do

There are many more events in Sydney, you can choose to do so. Ask at the visitor center in Sydney, rocks, tour operators at Circular Quay, or the hotel reception.
