Sydney Chinese New Year
2011 Chinese New Year – year of the Rabbit – will be in Sydney – and the rest of the world – in February.
The highlight of Sydney's Chinese New Year Festival this year than in previous years, the Chinese New Year parade 6 February.
2011 Sydney parade takes place at dusk and begin to Sydney Town Hall, then proceeds to Chinatown Darling Harbour.
Chinese New Year Darling Harbour fireworks take place after the parade.
There is expected to shut down roads along the Sydney Chinese New Year Twilight Parade.
Traditional Chinese New Year Dragon Boat races are held in Darling Harbour, Bay cockle 12 February and 13
2011 Sydney Chinese New Year Festival, opened on 28 january to keep Festival Markets Belmore Park next to the Central Station until 30 january. Year's festival will end on 13 February.
2011 Chinese New Year is the Rabbit begins 3 February 2011.
