The Sydney Opera House at Bennelong Point is the most recognizable symbol of the city. It is, thus, an icon of art, especially the performing arts.
For visitors from Sydney and as is the construction unique white roofs that look like sails against the blue sky. We see the West Circular Quay, and along the curve of Sydney Harbour, andnorthside Southside, and we see from the air, from an airplane or helicopter, or from a bus or car on Bradfield Highway as it crosses the Sydney Harbour Bridge to the south before entering the highway Cahill.
This is a walk through the theaters in Sydney starts, opera and concert hall in the theater, the Drama Theatre, and thence to his most recent performance space, the Studio.
Performing Arts Center
The Sydney Opera House is the center of the performing arts in Sydney. It is in central Sydney and physical well-balanced between the northern and southern suburbs, and between the western suburbs and the vast Pacific.
Northward across the harbor is home theater Theatre Ensemble, feet in water at Kirribilli. Farther north is the Glen St Theatre Belrose near the suburb of Frenchs Forest.
But it is in the vicinity of the Opera, in a radius of seven kilometers, or that most theaters of Sydney's most famous are: the new Sydney Theatre and two theaters Wharf at Walsh Bay, the Royal Theatre The King Street; the huge Sydney Entertainment Centre Darling Harbour, which is easily transformed into a theater for the operettas of Gilbert and Sullivan, as well as music concerts, and great art deco Capitol Theatre near Chinatown .
From the cross to the west
Across St Elizabeth and Surry Hills, found Belvoir St Theatre within walking distance of Central Station, and then at King's Cross is the smallest Stables, home of the Griffin Theatre Company. Closer to the central business district and just steps from City Hall Station, is the Genesian Theatre, an old church and the house of what was originally a Catholic theater group.
West along Broadway is the Gateway Theater (now used occasionally), not too far from the three theaters in downtown Seymour long way, and close to the line Glebe Point Road multicultural cuisine restaurant.
Serious theater then jumps in several suburbs of Parramatta Riverside Theatres on the west and, further, to the Q in Penrith, in the foothills of the Blue Mountains.
But it's not all
But it's not all sites pour les arts de la scène à Sydney.
Residents and visitors have therefore a wide variety of venues around the Sydney landscape, offering many different types of theater and entertainment as would any type of discrimination, the specialist or popular theater regulars.
