A life-size Lego model of a tourist with binoculars 27th September saw at Legoland Florida in Winter Haven, Florida

With the new Legoland Florida shop entrance fees of $ 75 plus tax for adults and $ 65 plus tax for children of the new theme park is really worth the money? Opened on 15 October, Legoland Florida appeared on the site of the old Cypress Gardens park in Winter Haven. There is a nearly hour-long drive from the Orlando theme parks, but Legoland strong line-up of child-friendly attractions to encourage many families to make the trip to check it out.

But in the parking garage ($ 15 per day) and lunch added, and a family of four could very well be $ 350 (about $ 60 before starting spot) in a single day, plus airfare and accommodation. Some parents are free to Johnny Paycheck and want to be able to tell you all that and shove it.

Legoland Florida is worth the price? It depends on whether you ever been a Legoland. Fans have always rated Legoland California park as the best in the nation for children, even before the Disney parks, according to Robert Niles, editor of Theme Park Insider. Niles Says: "I know many East Coast and Midwestern families who have been waiting for Legoland on their side of the country."

Slideshow: Legoland comes to Florida

How does Legoland in price compared to other Florida theme parks? It depends. Disney's larger complex with more hours of operation (in other words, closes at 17.00 clock Legoland) offers better value for money, according to the math done by The Ledger. The newspaper noted that on a per hour basis of the daily work, Legoland twice as much as Disneyland Magic Kingdom costs.

Bottom line vacations are about their value, not just the dollar amount, that is the philosophy of Budget Travel. Families are happy to splurge when they know they will have memories to last a lifetime and that they are not paying too much compared to what they could find elsewhere. Legoland Florida can be a good value if you never before, and if you as a savvy consumer looking for discount promotions approach.

With the new Legoland theme park admission rates Florida office of $ 75 plus tax for adults and $ 65 plus tax for children, the new theme park is really worth the money? Opened October 15, Legoland Florida appeared on the site of the old park, Cypress Gardens in Winter Haven. It 'a record about an hour from Orlando's theme parks, but Legoland strong line-up of kid-friendly attractions should encourage many families to make the trip to check it out.

But add in the parking lot ($ 15 per day) and lunch, and a family of four could easily spend $ 350 on one day more than housing (starting at about $ 60 locally) and air ticket. Some parents may want to paraphrase Johnny Paycheck and say, you can take this and push it.

Legoland Florida is worth the cost? Depends if you've never been to Legoland before. Fans have always voted Legoland California as best park in the nation for children, even before the Disney parks, according to Robert Niles, editor of ThemeParkInsider. Niles says: "I know that many of the East Coast and Midwestern families who've been waiting for a Legoland on their side of the country."

Presentation: Legoland comes to Florida

How do you compare the price of other Legoland theme parks of Florida? It depends. Disney's biggest complex with increased hours of operation (in other words, Legoland closes at 5 pm) offers better value for money, according to mathematics made by The Ledger. The newspaper found that, on a per hour of daily operations, Legoland costs twice as much as Disneyland Magic Kingdom.

There are some tricks to save on Legoland Florida? You should avoid paying up-front application fee. A lot of discounts can be found online at "sites promotion code", as the ever-reliable Savers Mouse. If you do not have time to search online, know that Legoland is selling a two-day ticket upgrade, offering visitors a second day in the park for an additional $ 15.

Any other money-saving advice? Resist the cries of your children to buy souvenirs. LEGO sets on sale at the park can be purchased elsewhere at cheaper prices.

Like many parents, Rina and Mike Zeller on a video camera to document the screams of joy when they surprised their children with news of a family trip to Disney World.

But kids do not jump for joy. Instead, much to the Zeller's surprise, started Sophia, 6, and Ian, 4, crying and insisting that they would rather spend their holidays in … Chattanooga.

"We live close enough to Chattanooga as we usually go there once a year for a long weekend," said Rina Zeller. "The children love the aquarium and children's museum and the stream that runs through the center. And we had to tell us to take them to Chattanooga this year for fall break."

Instead, planned Zeller, who lives outside Atlanta, a trip to Disney World. "We had been there before and wanted to go back while the kids were still believers," said Zeller. "And we thought it would be fun to strap to their reaction when we told them would be to Disney this year instead of next. Our bags were packed and left the next day."

Zeller said the children warmed to the idea of a Disney vacation rather quickly and had a great time. But the video on holiday "reveal" was so fun to Zeller wanted to share it with friends and the children's grandparents. "Not everyone has a Facebook account, so I put it on YouTube. And I took it to the Chattanooga Visitors Bureau because I thought they would get a kick out of it," says Zeller.

The Chattanooga Convention and Visitors Bureau in Tennessee loved the band and, of course, began to pass around. Since then, the band showed up on television stations in the country and viewed on YouTube more than 70,000 times.

"It's nice to know that there are some children who would rather visit Chattanooga instead of Disney World," said Dave Santucci, vice president of marketing for the Chattanooga CVB. "Especially since most families can not afford to go to Disney World every year. But they can afford to come back to Chattanooga."

That fandom reached new heights just after 6 am the last Saturday of March, when Nichols, now 51 years old Little League coach, woke up in a sleeping bag directly under the copper plate Yastrzemski in the Hall Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York "We sleep in the sacred land," says Nichols, whose son Ryan, 10, slept nearby. "You know that when Yaz visits Cooperstown, which is right where I slept."

Nichols, along with 37 other parents and players from Little League Westborough, Massachusetts, was participating in a program called Overnights Hall of Fame extra innings – basically, Night at the museum with baseball uniforms. The program, which offers five times a year, began at 6:45 pm on Friday, when the group, which included me and my three children, set out the sleeping bags in the gallery of the plate. For the next two hours we had the museum to ourselves, looking at exhibits including Curt Schilling's bloody sock and a closet of Lou Gehrig (a Yankee!). After snacks and a movie ("Rookie of the Year"), the group of beds in the room of the plate, a space of time, the increase in bedrooms with fine carpets. (Tip key: If you do not bring an air mattress, I envy those who do.)

The trip was a bonding experience for all. Parents told stories about long-retired players, sometimes, the boys traveled in packs, feel that the owner of the site – basically, they did. Turning off the lights, it was the usual parade around with the 21-century pastime text messages across the room. But basically, the trip was a throwback to the old-fashioned pleasures of sleepover father-son, where they survive a night without the comforts of home – namely, Mom – allows each generation see the other in new ways. And listen to others: In the morning, the talk focused on the identity of the mysterious loud snorer.
