Airlines support off-peak travel allowances
DALLAS – In a break for travelers, the airlines, the number of days this season, where they cut to a surcharge for flying during peak travel times.
Delta, American, United and Continental confirmed on Friday that they add the surcharge to six days during the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. That's down from about two dozen in the past year, according to the price-tracking Web site FareCompare.com
