HONOLULU – Alaska Airlines is adding more flights between Northern California and Hawaii.

The Seattle-based airline, which is operated by Alaska Air Group Inc. said Thursday it wants to fly non-stop flights from San Jose and Oakland, Lihue, Kauai 27th March.
The flights will depart from San Jose 3 days per week. Flights will depart Oakland four days a week.
Alaska plans to use Boeing 737-800 aircraft, which seat 16 in first class and 141 in Economy on the routes. The new service will add more than 57,000 places annually Kauai tourism industry.
The news comes as the Hawaii Tourism Authority for ways to obtain an expected drop in tourists in the wake of the earthquake and the tsunami that devastated Japan offset looks.
