If you come to a small town, chances are that these sites will cover your destination. Groupon, for example, is now in more than 500 markets worldwide, including New York, Las Vegas, Kalamazoo, Michigan and Columbia, Missouri.

An easy way to get a handle on all the business is by signing up for a daily e-mail from a website that Dealery.com. This type of site culls all offers of a particular town and warn you.

Next step: Check your daily deals.

Deals are typically for spa services as facials and manicures, restaurants or excursions. But they are only for sale for a short time, sometimes a few days or just one, so you must be diligent. If the deal seems interesting, do not wait too long.

"If you miss that date, if you do not see it, you will not see it," said Kevin Strawbridge, CEO of online discount site Dealtaker.com.
