BOSNIA POCITELJ AND MOSTAR
Crossed the border into Bosnia for a short period to visit Mostar…I found the city to be tightly packed with tourists and really does give you the feeling that the city is maintained for that purpose however it does have a natural beauty in its own right…and am glad I visited…
Pocitelj is a small village in Bosnia and Herzegovina built around the 16th and 17th centuries and its history is quite interesting…worth reading about.
Both Pocitelj and Mostar were damaged during the 1993 Bosnian War and that evidence is quite clear… A local guide advises me that the Muslim population do not wish to fix the damage structures as a way of remembering where as the Christian population feel is necessary to fix as a way of forgiving and forgetting..
