Bumbling around in Berlin
I’ve been away from this blogging business for over a year now, and am tentatively dipping my toes in the water again. Less words, more frequency- I don’t have as much time/commitment as I used to!
The first academic conference was brilliant in parts, but it is of interest to a larger public-Berlin, however, should definitely be. I've been here a few times – like living here before the Wall came down – and my money, it is the best city in Europe. It has a huge presence in the history of the last hundred years (of course not all good), and has been victorious, destroying, extract, divided, isolated, reunited, restored and renovated over time. Vibe is the place to be very positive, it is clean, solid but not scary, busy is not cramped, and there is also a refreshing green. Public transport, it is a modest, yet trendy, it is amazing museums, attractions, bars … It is my favorite city in Europe to some extent, and I've had quite a few.
One afternoon, the conference was very interesting, so a friend and I went wandering around the main attractions … We're just skimming the surface, and I was
to consider spending a lot more time here, even though living here, if the opportunity came, and I'm not what you want to call the person in the city.
