Day Out

I had an early start today – not that this really mattered because having sold my bed yesterday I was sleeping in a sleeping bag on top of some sheets. With a few final tasks to attend to before starting to make my way across London towards Heathrow I was glad that my flight scheduled departure time wasn’t until 10pm, and figured I’d sleep well on the plane.

By 1 pm I was ready to head to West London. I met with two friends: the first Claire (and

her rescue greyhound companion PMU) of the Trade Union Club in Acton then Mark in Ealing, who visited a few places that I'm going to go (it was he who persuaded me to include Cambodia in my route), and wrote about it on the Overland Cruiser. After a cappuccino and a concluding discussion of the route before you leave, it's time to catch the tube to Heathrow. Ready to Fly

me something I need such as sun lotion and mosquitoes.

Despite the slightly late departure aircraft arrived in KL quite a bit ahead of schedule. Passage through the airport KLIA again simple, though

did include getting the bus from the landing terminal arrival hall, at least I did not have to wait for the conveyor belts for any hand baggage. After checking the signs to make sure I was not supposed to declare the foreign currency I was carrying it through the green channel and directly to the station KLIA Ekspres train to the city center.
