Enthusiastic about Berlin

I’ve been away from this blogging business for over a year now, and am tentatively dipping my toes in the water again. Less words, more frequency- I don’t have as much time/commitment as I used to!

My first scientific conference was brilliant in parts, but that is not of interest to the greater public in Berlin, but should in any case. I've been here a few times – even those living here before the Wall fell – and for my money, it is the best city in Europe. He has an incredible presence in the European history of the last 100 years (of course not all good), and was triumphant, devastated, destroyed, divided, separated, combined, renovated and re-invented in this period. The mood of the place is very positive, it's clean, solid, but not discouraging, employs not not cramped, and is also refreshingly green. The public transport works, it is unpretentious, but trendy, has amazing museums, sights, bars … It is my favorite European city, by a certain margin, and I have been very few.

One of the conference was on the afternoon of little interest, so a friend and I went for a walk around the main attractions … We are just skimming the surface, and I would

consider spending more time here, even living here when the opportunity came, and I'm not what you do to a city person.
