On Sunday Jimmy Fallon opened the 2010 Emmy’s with a “Glee”-inspired take on Bruce Springsteen’s “Born to Run.” And the night before indie rockers Vampire Weekend covered Springsteen’s “I’m Goin’ Down” at a concert in Vancouver. The attention from entertainers usually geared toward the younger set was impressive for the 60-year-old Springsteen–whose breakthrough album, Born to Run, turned 35 last week.

Asbury Park, N.J., where Springsteen greeted the music world from with his debut album in 1973 and where he still lives near, has experienced a bit of a renaissance too of late: two weeks ago the Associated Press declared “The Glory Days Are Back.” If you are heading to Asbury Park, check out these Springsteen-related spots. And, because you need to see him live, follow the links in the song titles to some choice Springsteen performances. (Thanks to the Asbury Park Guide for some of the info.)
