Taken literally, many stories from the Bible are dubious. But when read as metaphors, there is usually a worthwhile message. Take Jesus’s resurrection. Rising from the dead? I do not purchase it. But when read as an allegory that after spending too much time sprawled out in the elements, you should relax in a soothing place for three days and you will emerge feeling reborn? Now that makes sense. So this weekend tell a therapist, “Into your hands, I commit my spirit” and resurrect yourself at one of these Jerusalem spas.
