To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Jimi Hendrix’s death, his former London pad at 23 Brook Street will be opened to the public from August 25 to November 1st. Says NME: “Although it has since been used as an office for the Handel House Museum (composer George Frideric Handel occupied 25 Brook Street from around 1723 until his death), Hendrix’s flat will be stripped of all administrative equipment and will feature a number of rare exhibits, including his clothes, hand-written lyrics, posters and one of his ‘Flying V’ guitars.”

If that is not sufficiently exciting for you, think about Virgin’s Rockstar Service Concierge, “which treats its customers like rock stars by making it possible for them to do things they can’t do on other holidays.” The Telegraph’s Iain Hollingshead gave it a shot over a trip to Vegas and comes out with a few solid memories. As long as you have got the cash and your requests are “within reason,” you can do basically anything, from assembling an entourage replete with bouncer and 19 y.o. escort to ordering a bunch of albino rabbits to your room.
