The Showboat Casino Hotel is setting aside nine rooms of "dog-friendly" housing from February 24.

The casino will allow dog owners to bring their animals in the hotel lobby, but the dogs will be banned from the casino floor, restaurants, bars and shops. Having a dog will stay with you will cost an extra $ 40 per night.

There is a maximum of two dogs per room, and can not weigh more than 50 pounds each.

They go to dog treats, water bowls and pet mat to lie on. The casino has appointed a special outdoor "relief area" for dogs.

Cats or other pets are not allowed in the hotel.
