Five flicks to see with kids in car
Planning a trip Labor Day or late summer that will keep children locked in the car for hours? Yes, back to our days, the plates with toughed games and I Spy (and actually talked to each other), but players and portable in-car DVD now offer other options when you can not stand the backseat fight another second.
Here are five great gambling. Just make sure the driver keeps eyes on the road.
'Cars' not Pixar is the best rated movie ever, but what better movie for a trip of a movie about a race car? It also reminds viewers that the speed and winning is not everything, a crucial lesson when in the midst of a journey seemingly without end.
'Mary Poppins' a classic choice, especially if you're karting around several generations of holidaymakers. Not only is it something that involves all ages and has a lot of songs to sing together, it takes a lot of time. With a running time of nearly two and a half hours long traffic jam makes a magical Mary can go as fast as snapping your fingers.
'The Princess Bride' A great movie, if you have a car full of children in different age groups. It 'a classic, with a narrator who intervenes to warn the viewer that nothing bad irritable is going to happen, and sword features, jokes, pirate, and true love.
Moms TODAY: hit 'Pooh' movie hits for innocence
'Toy Story' Every film of the trilogy is a great choice, but the original is the film that gave everything for Pixar. Some moments are a little 'fear of children (those toys mutant Sid!) But it turns out all right eventually, and will keep the kids riveted until you get to your destination.
'Rio' Just released on DVD and Blu-Ray on August 2, "Rio" has a rare bird, traveling from Minnesota to Brazil, find love, learning to fly, and save the day. The only catch? You will end up very jealous of adults down to the famous Carnival celebration in Rio when you're stuck behind a minivan in bumper to bumper traffic.
