Alaska Airlines Flight swept after bomb threat
(Updated at 3:10 pm Eastern time) the plane landed safely at Alaska Airlines on Monday in Auckland International Airport after a bomb threat against the flight was found in the handwritten note in San Francisco, but no bomb was found, the airline said.
Officials notified the airline of a bomb threat found on a sheet of paper in the San Francisco International Airport special reference Alaska Airlines flight 342, airline spokeswoman Bobbie Egan said.
The airline learned of the bomb while flying, linked from Seattle to Oakland with 126 passengers and six crew on board, was in the air, said Egan.
The flight was taken to a remote location after landing at Auckland International Airport at 7:56 am flight left Seattle-Tacoma International Airport at 6:22 am
No bombs or explosives were found on board and some passengers, who were questioned had been released, officials and local law airline said.
