The aircraft is cleared to fly after a "security threat" in N.
Two domestic flights were hijacked Sunday in separate incidents.
In the first, a Delta Air Lines flight from Detroit to San Diego was diverted to Albuquerque, NM, then permission to take off again after the authorities had found "nothing suspicious" about the plan, a carrier FBI spokesman said.
Agency spokesman Frank Fisher declined to specify the nature of the "security threat" that caused the plane to be diverted to New Mexico. He said that agents searched the plane and interviewed the crew and 107 passengers before allowing the plane to fly again.
Albuquerque International Sunport spokesman Daniel Jr. also refused to say what was the potential threat.
The flight was hijacked at 10 am MDT. Jiron said he was ready to take off again around 12:30 pm but does not know what time the flight would depart.
Passenger Tim Cole, 55, of Hazleton, Penn., Told The Associated Press that the pilot told passengers that a note that had the word "bomb" on this subject was found in one of bathrooms of the plane.
"The captain came on and said:" You will notice that we are in decline. We are about to turn away. It's probably a hoax, but we must take it very seriously, "said Cole of the Albuquerque airport.
Fisher did not respond to repeated questions over phone and email about the note.
Cole said he and other passengers were transported to a warehouse at the airport after FBI agents and dogs searching all carry-on baggage.
He said an officer asked a few questions, and that all passengers have water, soda and pizza.
"I know some people were scared, but everyone was very good," he said. "I travel all the time, so you know, I'm just one of those people who says' What happens, happens." I'm really glad they take it too seriously. "

In the second incident, a flight from Houston to Chicago was diverted to St. Louis because a passenger tried to open aircraft door during flight.
Continental Airlines Flight 546 landed safely at Lambert International Airport after the incident. A witness told the Chicago Tribune that a man on board tried to open the door, but a flight attendant called a marshal cries of air, which restricts rights.
The passenger, a former reporter for the Tribune, said she feared that he was somehow related to the death of Osama bin Laden.
"I started shaking and tears were coming out of my eyes," she said. "My heart was beating in my chest."
The FAA confirmed the incident. After the plane made its emergency landing, the man who allegedly tried to open the door was taken into custody.
Continental Airlines said there was no indication of unruly passenger was any way to a terrorist threat.
The aircraft has been inspected for explosives. None were found, and he was allowed to continue his trip to Chicago.
