The three main things that cause friction on vacation is money, tourism and food, according to a recent survey of U.S. consumers conducted by TNS in 1000 independent research firm and commissioned by SpringHill Suites by Marriott. About 26 percent of Americans said they bicker about how much money to spend when they are on holiday, 22 percent disagree on what to do while traveling, and 9 percent are disagree on where to eat during the holidays.
Three-quarters of respondents said that taking a vacation this year will be vital for their mental health. Among the reasons why, 44 percent cited anti-stress, 37 percent are hoping that goes away their morale, and 8 percent are hoping that a holiday will help get their relationship back on track.
But despite a desire to relax, find holiday financial stress, even when they try to disconnect from it all. According to the survey, 64 percent of women and 41 percent of men say they feel guilty about spending money during the holidays.
Certainly, traveling with children can also add stress. To cope with children who act on the road, parents said they switched to youth, have ignored or taken some deep breaths.
So how holidaymakers rebound after a stress scenario?
There is nothing like a good nap or a long night of sleep to relieve tension. Americans cited the number of sleep as an activity that is most likely to relieve stress after a conflict during the holidays.
