This ugly, and often dirty, table board may soon get a makeover.

The TrayVu, created by Skycast Solutions, combines an in-flight entertainment system with a see-through disk.

The TrayVu, appears this week at Aircraft Interiors 2011 Expo in Seattle, including an Android tablet with a 8.9 inch screen that can be viewed through a clear part of the table when the disk is in an upright position.

When the disk is lowered, the tablet is still connected, but reverses to allow full use of disk space.

"You can multi-task, you may eat or work on your laptop while having a movie running on the tablet," said Greg Latimer, chief marketing officer Skycast Solutions ». "And you will not have this thing," head-tap »is what happens when the person behind you begins to play with the traditional systems backs."

Sounds promising, but will not see that, through the portion of the tray-table get dirty?

"Our plan is to offer free headsets and a screen wipe at every seat," said Latimer. «Customers will wipe their screens and then use tables probably wipe the drive. The cleaning crew we love."
