The ugly and often dirty, airplane tray may soon get a makeover.

The TrayVu Skycast solutions created by an in-flight entertainment system combines with a transparent shell.

The TrayVu appear this week include on the 2011 Aircraft Interiors Expo in Seattle an Android Tablet with a 8.9-inch screen that can be displayed through a clear part of the table, if the tray into the upright position.

If the tray is lowered, the tablet is connected, but works full use of the space to allow the tray.

"You can eat multi-task, perhaps, or work on your own laptop, while a film on the tablet," said Greg Latimer, Skycast Solutions' Chief Marketing Officer. "And you will not have that" head-tap, "what's wrong, the person behind you when the game starts happening to traditional back systems."

TrayVu was seen by all airlines still lifted but if it works, passengers can watch movies (and ads), play with others in the cabin (and see them on the built-in camera), use the credit card reader to food and beverages and even run a tab for products for other passengers who bought their children – or that cute guy across the aisle.

It sounds promising, but will not that see-through trays of dirty table?

"Our plan is to free headphones and a screen wipe available in every seat," said Latimer. "Customers will wipe away their screens and will probably use to wipe their folding tables. The cleaning crews love us."
